Background
I have this Nokia E3511 for about 2+ years. Well, it has its quirky touch triggers. But overall, it's quite good for the reliable Bluetooth connectivity and the sound being produced (flat). I especially appreciate the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) feature for the budget. I don't use it for online meeting, the mic isn't really a thing there unfortunately. I use it to watch movies and listening music or ambient noise (rain, pink noise, etc.) only.
One day, I opened the box, and each was automatically connected to my laptop. The left earbud produced INTENSE hiss noise.
I put back them again in the box, repeated the process. That time, I noticed, even before they were connected, the left earbud was already producing noise when I took it out — when it was ON.
So, I deducted that it wasn't Bluetooth connection related or laptop related. Instead, it was hardware related. Most likely the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) of the earbuds.
Usually, digital hardware as this, resetting its state will solve the problem. So I did reset it, and indeed it is back to normal now.
