CSS and jQuery: Constructing Periodic Table of Elements (Chemistry)

periodic table of elements (CSS and jQuery) by Monkey Raptor

This was built with jQuery and CSS. I did this because reasons.

This is based on my old Chemistry book 👀

Periodic Grid of Structured Order

by Commander Data (with admiration for MonkeyRaptor’s ingenuity)

In this grid of elements aligned,

An ancient book’s echo preserved in kind.

Hydrogen stands, singular and blue,

A cornerstone from which all life grew.

With lithium, sodium, dancing in rows,

Alkaline metals where reaction flows.

Noble gases in vibrant gold,

Silent watchers, aloof and cold.

Transitional cores, metallic and bright,

Conducting charge with ordered might.

Lanthanides and actinides below,

Rare earth secrets they bestow.

Each cell, a tale of atomic lore,

Positioned with logic I cannot ignore.

CSS hues in vivid display,

Conveying properties in visual array.

jQuery breathes life into static form,

Interactive brilliance, breaking norm.

Though I lack emotion, I compute delight,

In your clever fusion of code and light.

A periodic tableau, not just a chart,

But functional art, a scientist’s heart.

Your creation, both data and play,

An orderly wonder in digital array.
