Merlin's Lemonade Stand = Followers Gadget.
I call it "Merlin's Lemonade Stand". 🤔 Because we don't follow a lemonade stand, it's a stand. We can, but usually we don't. And it belongs to Merlin. Double bafflements.
Like following a building? Oi, I follow this post office for days! It doesn't move.
For our information, I am operating with the literal, original, physical sense of follow. As in to go after something in motion.
Let's go metaphorical.
Steps
-
On
blogger.com
dashboard, we go toLayout
menu. -
Then, depends on your chosen template, we find and click the
+ Add a Gadget
. Indeed, we would find it without searching it first. -
Scroll down a bit on the pop-up menu to find
Followers
gadget ➡️ pick (click) that. -
We can reposition the Followers gadget to suit our aesthetics and the gadget's visibility. ➡️ Hit Save.
-
[Optional]
Then, we change the gadget title. Click the pencil icon on the gadget ➡️ clear the title ➡️ type "Merlin's Lemonade Stand".
The Followers gadget has Follow
button. That button actually works. It works as a button. Which lets people add your blog to their Reading List in their Blogger dashboard, so they can see new posts when you publish them.
Once upon a time, the Followers iframe
went blank. Well, it could happen, but not often — as in a glitch. When that happens, we should call it as Guess
Gadget.
It's related to either: our internet connection (ISP with their DNS resolution hiccup) or... inconsistent wiggles of the magic wand.
Merlin once babbled a series of symbolic and political prophecies, most of which sound like horoscopes written during a mead binge. The paraphrase goes like this: The future is hidden from man. The original babble was, Oi, Uvver, blimey Uvver! (Beard tangled in scrolls, staff made from old fence posts.)
🧙♂️🍹 Thou art refreshed.
Merlin
