Samson and Delilah (1984 - TV Movie)

I watched Samson and Delilah (1984 - TV movie) . Because, honestly, I thought it would be... somewhere within... fuzzy logic. It delivered. The Era Shall we? We shall. Let's briefly summarise the Samson era. It was in pre-king time — Book of Judges. Israel wasn't even unified ("tribal confederacy"), hence the "judges" to lead (or protect) them. Samson was the last of the judges in the Book of Judges — Samuel is considered the last of the judges before the unification ➡️ King Saul ➡️ King David. The Samson story took place in ~1200-1000 BC Let's take the average, 1100 BC , somewhere in Middle East vast region. Without the number, we might still roughly deduce that the era was sometime before the Classical Greece. In another word, the Romans were still — well — had not even begun to call themselves "Romans", yet. Give or take. The Take The plot is actually very similar to the original story. Hollywood usually doesn't do that...

Fix Black Screen on Lenovo Legion on Startup

I own a Lenovo Legion — 15ACH6 laptop. It's past warranty period. I also have posted about the term Legion . This is most likely a defect from Lenovo in the overall interconnected Ryzen (AMD) processor ⇄ Radeon GPU (onboard) ⇄ NVIDIA GPU ⇄ power management. My other Lenovo (Lenovo Flex 5 — also post-warranty) with Intel processor, this blank never happened. I mean, usually manufacturers don't deliberately put subroutines to make the customers stressed out and calling customer service, right? Right? 🤔 Right. Indeed, it is a bug. Aside from the fact that this blank screen appeared conveniently when the warranty period was ended. Anyway, this is the laptop being awkwardly "dead". ⬇️ It was not off . The laptop was ON . The fans were running, the LED indicator on the power button was ON, it was ON. But the screen was blank, nothing was shown. I use the "flip to boot" setting for my laptop. For both my Lenovo laptops. ...

Three Wishes

If a jinni (or genie) grants you three wishes, what would you wish? I may guess something such as generic infinite riches, maybe even world peace. You know, sudden, instant gratification. That gibbon, please. Make it ride a scooter with jet. Or perhaps exploiting the technicality (loophole). Say, for instance — please grant me another x wishes — or better — another battalion of you — "you" being the jinni. How am I supposed to clone myself? — said the jinni. Unless the jinni stated the terms and conditions, we can surely find a cheeky way to get to the backdoor. And as for me, I might ignore the jinni politely. Such as — I thank thee for the generous offer, kind sir. Might I offer thee for a sugared roundel, nigh consumed, its orb defiled? Perhaps not, perhaps I'd say — Why? ⬆️ Indeed, just one word. You see, it will instantly break the spell. Because the bugger needs to explain the bugger in question. Since the bugger has a talkative nature, ...

A Squirrel, an Esteemed Esquire, Horse, and Boxing - Typing Animation

Once upon a time there was an esteemed esquire who had a horse and one squirrel to support. He used to cast his net four times a day. Long story short, he did not find any bottle made of yellow copper or even a jinni. But he did find a squirrel and a horse, in precarious order. Which then became his entourage. Sir Nuttington, his name was. With striking beard and dashing wrinkles, he kept the title out of spite, aged into it like fine whiskey, and now wears it like a defiant badge of noble rebellion. One time, the three of them noble wanderers found a mystical leech on a curious tree bark. A cursed, wise, and polyglot leech clung to the bark, humming softly in forgotten tongues. Because it kept on forgetting the lyrics and the notes despite its eerie and majestic visual. It sang: " Hum, I sing. " 🎵 " Laaaa. " 📢 " What's next word? " 🤔 " Canticchiare. " 🎵 " Laaaa. " 📢 ...

BOTS: Imaginative Digital Arthropods

This post is motivated by my own observation of the statistics of this blog: built-in Blogger stats, Cloudflare HTTP request logs, and my own method utilising Firebase realtime database (for browser requests). Anyway, all of them showed discrepancy. 🤦 But Cloudflare, being an HTTP request intermediary, actually captured interesting origins and questionable and phantom requests. Phantom, as in not actually "landed" on the HTML — using common browser — activating browser script. 🤖 : Ey up, I'm just 'ere to have a gander at that there /wp-config.php , if tha doesn't mind. 🖥️ : 🤦 403 . 🤖 : 🧐 Might I trouble you to initiate validation for the /.well-known/ path, specifically the entry bearing a most arbitrary identifier? ...

Auxiliary Battering Rams

I forgot the term for does , do , have , will , etc. — besides to be (am, is, are, ...) — when it is formed as a proper question . Hence I asked both ChatGPT and Gemini. 👍 It is known as auxiliary verb inversion . As it involves swapping the auxiliary verb from its usual position in the sentence. Affirmative declarative to proper question examples: You eat ➡️ Do you eat? I have showered ➡️ Have I showered? That horse will neigh ➡️ Will that horse neigh? When it is used in proper question, the do , have , and will function as auxiliary verbs in inversion . It falls under the broader category of subject-auxiliary inversion . There's no clear term for that final swapped auxiliary verb. Only the method (or process), auxiliary verb inversion . So, I call it inverted auxiliary verb. 😂 Which sounds like DOES becomes SEOD . Nay-nay form (negative declarative) to improper question: She does not like to smile ➡️ Seod sh...
